The ethical challenges of big data and artificial intelligence

The arrival of a new era of technology is unstoppable that with big data as the raw material and artificial intelligence as the engine. While big data and artificial intelligence bring huge economic benefits to human society, they also bring some worrying problems such as personal privacy, data dictatorship and misuse of intelligent technology. For example, the popular "Big data bias,", the scams fueled by privacy data breaches, the "Involuntary synthetic porn video" in DeepFakes, the algorithm-generated discrimination against people of color and women. Seemingly objective data and algorithms will also bring challenges come from neutrality, orientation, boundary or privacy problem. How to deal with these imminent challenges in an era when our world is largely surrounded by new technologies? Therefore, we launch this open forum, inviting experts from multiple fields and perspectives to discuss how to solve these issues.
